It's hard to be who I am
It's hard to be who I am.
Today, while chatting with Jevon over MSN, I asked him to wonder what if we went straight to uni after A levels. I'm sure many things would be different. At least I wouldn't be so concerned with the politics of Singapore now as I told my v good fren. And yes, I would have changed the way I do things from secondary school.
Nonetheless, I miss my college life. And yeah Cindy, I get ur pt. Im not that young either when I start to look back. "it's a sign of aging..." But there are somethings which I can't get off my chest eventually. I talked to jevon abt them today via MSN and he seems to empathise my really sorry state (though he was more concerned with booking his air tickets to Denmark). Such bothersome things are like, to me, a blemish. A mark, a scar that is deep embedded into my memory.
It's so much so that I just wished that I could only wipe away selected memories in the brain, leaving only the more acceptable experiences in my head. Yeah, I know what some jokers out there are going to say again. Running away right. But who doesn't? We all run away from some unpleasant stuff whether literally or figuratively but ultimately the thing is... we all run away.
Afterall running away isn't a really bad idea if you mastered the right technique and skill which many lack and I'm still learning. And yeap, jevon u hit the bullseye abt the "bu fu qi" part. But unless there is a really strong reason to convince me, I can't, as i have said earlier, let it all go. In fact, there are many things which I can't let it all go and what I mentioned via MSN is only a part of it.
看似個鴛鴦蝴蝶 不應該的代
可是誰又能擺脫人世間的悲哀
花花世界 鴛鴦蝴蝶
在人間已是癲
何苦要上青天 不如溫柔同眠
(Chinese "hard life" song)
But yeah dont worry, at least I know the people who will be behind me "no matter how hard life can get".
See how, cos afterall it's hard to be who I am.
