Belated christmas outing

Woke up uber early yesterday to reach NUS to do up my ISIC and to accompany a friend to have her flu jab. Okay, fine. I admit: I needed her NUS CO-OP card for my 10% off from my travel guide sold at Central forum bookshop (to expand all my vouchers as well). Apparently they didn't have stocks in that branch, so we went down to the BTC branch to purchase the book, of course with Alien kicking a vvvvvv big fuss all the way. Well, at least she still went there though she kept thinking I was cheap skate to save about $2.50. So while, waiting for the other bus to repatriate her back to the KR campus, we had a little food at the BTC foodcourt.

Rushed back to Hougang pool thereafter to meet up with Gelhead for a swim before meeting up with YT at PS for dinner then movie. From the way, YT grabbed the popcorn it was almost for certain that at least 3/10 of it would drop on my seat/shirt/pants before the POPcorn landed at her arena. So, in short, I was drenched in popcorn after the movie. Can't blame her. Small hands lar. Ha!

Again, I looked at computer gadgets. This time, I was amazed by Apple. Not apple as in those that keep the doctors away, but those type that will suck us to. The touch of the keyboard on the imac is darn cool man. Now, what I lack is $.

As expected from the storyline of "I am legend", the ending was quite abrupt. But then again for movies in such categories, (including 28 days later,) it's hard to come up with a suitable ending that will convince everyone. Ah wells.

Can't seem to upload the pic. Will try again later.

Still can't believe that the next episode of Prison Break will only be out like in 2 weeks time in 2008. I just wished someone had written a book on it so I can down to the thick plot as soon as possible. And yesh, I'm willing to read thousands of pages of books to hunt down the conspiracy in The Company.

Heading to Sim Lim later. Going down to Sim Lim with alien as she wanna get some weird gadgets as well. I thought only guys go for such IT gadgets. I bet she would be confused on how to even set up the thing. Okay, better stop saying her here lest she screams again.

hectic day

As I end my run at the nearby playground, I heard a soft mew and as I walked towards it. There it was.

Hurriedly ran back to tell my sis who brought along some biscuits to feed the cute thing. And played with it till like 215am. It was absolutely insance considering that I plan to wake up at 730am and leave the house at 8.

Apparently, I was so right.

I left my humble adobe at 945am and cabbed down to Cine. Anyways, I just wished I have woken up earlier cos' now I gotta go back to Taka again. NZ immigration opens only for like... 2 hours?!?!?! Sheesh. nvm. at least got my X-ray done today. Then hurriedly updated my bank bks and took a ride to Chinatown before heading to Sengkang library for a good read and had my early dinner before heading home.

Think MOS Unagi Rice burger standard dropped. The Unagi a bit... soft.

Or maybe because I have indulged in too much gd food all the time?

Kuishin-Bo, KBox and National Treasure

Finally, after many years of insatiable hunger, I have finally stepped into Kuishin-Bo! WHOOTS! Edmund made a booking the day before and we managed to secure 20 seats though the early birds like CT, WC, SY, WK, etc. (quite a lot of early birds actually) came early and formed the queue. Think Edmund was quite right when he knew that everyone is going to be late. So, he msged everyone the night before to meet at 11am though they are opened for lunch only at 1130am. (I was 1 of those who was late.)

When they finally opened the shutters, we conveniently sat ourselves at the table which were reserved for us and started to hunt for food around the restaurant. WOOHOO! Being the vvvvv kind ZG (as we always know), I sacrifised myself by letting the others have a go at the yummy food first while I looked after their belongings on the table. When 1 of them returned, I hurriedly rushed to the drinks station and got myself a drink before sitting myself back at the table, only to be flooded with lots of food from what my other table-mates took. WOW!!!! I would have taken the pictures of all the food if not for the fact that my sis conveniently took my camera to some chalet...So, basically I was well fed there after without having a need to even stand up to grab some food. Let me see what I had: Tepanyaki, steamboat, all sorts of sushi, sashimi, escargots, etc. Think I can write forever if I list everything down.

And yesh, you didn't see wrongly nor did I type wrongly. I had escargots. Digging it out of the shell was just... Grrrr.... Attempting to chew on it is just plain gross. So once again, the paparazzi around me whipped out their cameras and took some pic/vids of the entire ordeal. Actually, I took a picture of it as well with JC's camera. Just waiting for him to upload it. Heh. Had a vvv long chat with the folks as we ate.

When it was time to leave, SY had this sudden urge to be generous and decided to pick up the tabs for everyone. Then we proceeded to purchase 715pm tix on "National Treasure" before heading to the KBox for some screaming over the microphone. Heh. I was sure I was mixing with the generation Y people till I heard songs that only my dad sang. Sheesh. It was vvv amusing nonetheless. Of course, εƒι‡ŒδΉ‹ε€– was not spared when I'm around. =) Took loads of photos and vid clips with Edmund's cam. Heh. Gotta get from them man those photos.

Had "National Treasure" movie thereafter, and met a brunei perm staff. Exchanged coupon for regular popcorn set and the 7 of us shared. Heh. Had BK for dinner and after that reached home at 1120pm.

Been too lazy to wake up earlier today to go for the X-ray and the settling of my student visa. Sheesh. And I have to get to NUS on Monday to collect some letter. Better have them done on Monday since there is going to be a series of hols that is upcoming.

Okay, fellas if you have photos of today's event please upload somewhere or email or what lar. Heh. Desperate for photos. All the words without pic is sure boring.

another contribution from ZG to the economy

As stated in my last entry, I contributed more than 750 bucks on Monday to SingPost.

On Friday, I spent another 100 bucks on some medicine and today, I spent paid $110 for my visit to the dentist, $10 for my haircut, $20 on some miscellaneous stuff, $20 on good food, $10 for topping up of my EZ link card, $150 for the print server (which I'm having a bit of problem setting up), and another $120 at PS. Can't help but wonder if prices of commodities in Singapore is rising.

serangoon gdns->upp serangoon shopping centre->lavender->Sim Lim->PS->Heartland Mall->Home

And this is not going to be my last contribution to the Singapore economy for this month.

I'm going to have my entire set of teeth X-rayed before heading back to the dentist for the final blow on my poor set of wisdom teeth.
The thought of it just freaked me out. I had lost so much blood in my mouth today such thatI think I leek more blood today than any girl for a month.*ouch* And the extraction is just going to make it worse. And to top it up, it's going to be done around Christmas time. (-,-) But I'm going to make sure that it gets done after Christmas so erm... peeps please arrange for all your activities before that day if you are thick skinned enough to demand Christmas presents from me.

Exploring Singapore on foot is sure an interesting event! While walking from Sim Lim to PS today, the route led me thru' Peace Centre and La Selle. Loads of good food along those lil' streets! From steamboat buffets to Mexican food! =) Yeaps!!! *Hint hint*
heh. at least now u know why my food expenditure cost so much.

contribution to the economy

Ran around my estate yesterday for 15 min. I think I went slightly further than 2km. Apparently it was a very good attempt. Nonetheless, I could feel the cramps in my calves coming to me in the last 100m.

And as I always say, good efforts are applaudable. So, *claps claps*.

Okay, I know this is getting pretty random. But I'm quite sick reading so many codes already. A whole list of events coming up this Friday! WOOHOO!

Did I also mention that I'm seeing the dentist this week? Better purchase a few ear plugs lest she starts screaming at me for not seeing her for almost a year. Maybe my ear should have a built-in bandpass lowpass filter.

-------------------
Sometimes I wonder if Singpost is earning money. Each postage within Singapore is like 25 cents?! I thought the process of sorting out mails, sending them to respectively places would warrant a price more than that. It was only till yesterday that my perception changed.
Being a very good Singapore citizen, I contributed more than S$750 to the Singapore economy via Singpost and am still quite sore over it. So, via the mulitplier effect, I think Singapore has some hope in having a stronger economy with citizens like me.

I did my part.

Now do yours.

HF domain, it's weird, but I'm gonna miss it.

This marks the end of the first week of the examination period. Most of my HF classmates had their last paper on that Friday.
And it was the last time I am officially going to see them in class, since most of them are in their fourth year and I won't be in class next semester braving through those rough times with them. I guess the cohesiveness was brought about by my lecturers who made the module so difficult with a weekly assignment and a weekly test right after the tutorials are discussed.

Never thought I will say this, but, the learning sessions in the HF classes would be something that I miss. It sure is ironic. Looking back at my previous entries earlier in the semester, I think I would still say that HF is difficult.

But, I'm glad I took it. =)

Else, I would not have met many interesting peeps or even have access to microwave labs as a hangout place.
